My journal quilts this year were inspired by a sketchbook I started in the autumn of 2020. The warm colour palette is my favourite and, no matter how hard I try, other palettes do not give me the results I seek.
Cotton fabrics were painted with acrylic paints, marks and text were added using fluid acrylic and the pieces were hand or machine stitched.

The brief for this year's challenge included the requirement
that the quilts should be joined up at the end of the year.
My finished quilt is approximately 42" x 31".
