There was just one stipulation for the journal quilt challenge this year and one I embraced readily. Each work had to have at least one curve, either in the overall shape, in any part of the piecing or as a design feature.
I was keen to make more pieces depicting concrete brutalism complete with straight lines and structural textures, a sun or moon fulfilling the requirement for a curve. Fabrics were painted or mono printed with acrylic paints, raw edge appliqued and machine stitched.
