Monochrome series

The pieces in this gallery are the outcome of my work in 2011. Some of the pieces are textile alone, some are mixed media, combining paper and textile, and all small scale.
I concentrated on using a limited colour palette with the emphasis on exploring line.
The use of a heat gun on some of the pieces created unexpected effects and textures. These were either left as they were or further stitching was worked into them.
