Sabi Westoby

Sabi Westoby is a mixed media artist. Having been a traditional quilter for 10 years, on retiring from full-time work in 2008 she changed direction and now makes art quilts and textiles.

Sabi rises to the challenge of embracing new techniques and exploring unknown materials, which can be dyed, printed, manipulated, burnt and stitched. She creates fabrics in vibrant colours, over-printing them with her unique designs.  Conversely, she also likes the discipline of monochrome, reflected in her recent work.
